Saturday’s Home Fellowship at RT2 started early at 5p.m. We started pre-dinner fellowship over Bedok Chwee Kueh (the XL-sized ones). Soon after, we adjourned to the living room for an impromptu pre-service worship. As G started singing the song, 'Shout to the Lord', A felt like she was elevated into Heaven, and felt like dancing. A started weeping but was soon filled with joy and started laughing. Later, A shared that she had seen a vision of a blue ballerina dancing during the pre-service worship. When G heard this, she knew at once what that meant, as G had bought a prophetic art painting with a ballerina dancing previously.
The verse that inspired the painting was: "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32 NKJV
The discussions for this week centred around a recap of the 3P’s in Steve’s message last week and 'The battle belongs to you Lord', which was the lyric from the last song , 'See a Victory', which we sang during worship.
RT2 took turns to share our personal journeys, how it was for some of us to experience the paradigm shift, digging deeper in seeking the presence of God, and discovering the power of God in our lives. We then related it with the journey of Joseph, and how Joseph could have responded quite differently, contrary to what we read about in the meeting with his brothers in Egypt. It seemed that Joseph had a major paradigm shift, being able to see it as part of God’s plan (Genesis 45:5-8). It was also surfaced in the discussion that Joseph could have been the first man who is filled with the Spirit of God, based on Genesis 41:38, as shared in David Guzik’s commentaries.
We concluded that God works His plan through us, and ultimately, the battle belongs to the Lord. Joseph did not have to strive and fight his own battles. He merely kept moving forward and observed God’s plan unfold each step of the way. In realising God’s plan, he then began to respond in tandem with God’s Spirit. On the other hand, from his brothers’ point of view, we recognised that humans cannot fight God’s plan. Therefore, we must realise God’s plan in our lives and begin to align our understanding of what success looks like. Sometimes it might look like we are losing control of life’s circumstances, but can we see that God is in control? At which point do you think Joseph recognised God’s plan and trusted that God is in control?
RT2 then reflected on whether we had seen God’s plan unfold each step of the way in our faith journeys. We then closed the session in prayer, taking turns to share visions and words to encourage one other into the new week. May God continue to renew our minds and may Holy Spirit give us the assurance that whatever trials and tribulations we face, the battle belongs to the Lord.
Signing off,
RT2
