Last Saturday, we kicked off the CNY celebrations with a time of lo hei and fellowship. It was wonderful to catch up with everyone! As the festivities settled, we entered into a beautiful time of worship led by Zoe, Lixun, and Shaun. Their heartfelt leadership guided us into an intimate encounter with God. His presence filled the room, drawing us into a deeper place of reflection and connection with Him. It was a powerful reminder that even in the midst of celebrations, our greatest joy comes from worshipping our Creator.
After worship, we took time to reflect on the past year and set our focus for 2025. It was a session filled with honest and in-depth conversations about our personal growth, our service to the community, and our spiritual journey. We recognised that while 2024 had been a year of challenges and learning, there was still much to improve upon. Service to the community continues to be a core value for the youth.
We discussed how we could better reach out, not just through acts of service but by building genuine relationships with those around us. At the same time, we acknowledged that unity and strong bonds within our own group are just as important. A strong, united community enables us to serve with greater love and purpose.
The Call to “Understand Me”
One of the key takeaways from our discussion was a shared desire to know God more deeply. The words that resonated with us were “understand me”—a call to seek Him beyond surface-level knowledge and truly grasp His heart and will for us. This year, we want to be intentional in growing in our understanding of God, His Word, and His purpose for our lives. As the session continued, we found ourselves immersed in meaningful conversations, delving into topics that mattered to each of us. Though the discussion ran longer than expected, no one minded. Everyone left with something valuable—insights, encouragement, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Moving Forward
As we step into 2025, our hearts are full of anticipation. We are excited to build deeper relationships, serve with greater love, and most importantly, draw closer to God. May this year be one where we truly understand Him, align ourselves with His heart, and walk in His ways. Here’s to a year of growth, unity, and deeper faith. Happy Chinese New Year!
